November 2023, Miami- The Juan Carlos Maldonado Collection (previously JCMAC) is proud to announce the opening of a new exhibition space in 45 NE 39th St, Miami Design District.
The collection is a privately sustained cultural initiative dedicated to contribute to the study and appreciation of Geometric Abstraction as a universal movement that transcends geographies and cultural backgrounds.
The inaugural exhibition opening December 02, 2023 The Juan Carlos Maldonado Collection in time: The Rigor of Geometric Shapes curated by Ariel Jiménez will present a summary of works that give a museo- logical form to Juan Carlos Maldonado’s process of collecting and of how progressively, the collection went from a Latin American one to a universal welcoming the work of artists working in different countries and continents sharing a common passion: the rigor of geometric shapes and the quiet poetry that characterizes them.
